Biography

Kamal Mouzawak is passionate – with a capital P – about good food. An advocate for all that is organic, traditional, natural and healthy, Mouzawak founded and manages Souk el-Tayeb, Lebanon's first farmer's market. He also runs the Kitchen Workshop, an eastern Mediterranean style cookery school based out of a traditional Lebanese house in Batroun.

Mouzawak is an editor, journalist, graphic design artist and food photographer. He is also a board member of the Slow Food Foundation and a professor of domestic travel and tourism.

When he finds time in his hectic schedule, Mouzawak likes nothing more than entertaining his friends with a delicious home-cooked meal and a glass of arak or wine.
