 Cathy Khattar
Biography
Cathy Khattar studied economics at the St. Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon. She graduated in 2001 but knew that her vocation lay elsewhere, and thanks to the suggestion of her friend Dania, an illustrator, she got started writing children's books in 2005… and hasn't looked back since.
An avid reader when young, her favorite school subject was Arabic reading and writing. Nowadays, she likes to read novels and books on mythology, especially Asian myths.
In the future Khattar would love to own a bookstore and when she is old and grey-haired she imagines herself living in a traditional house in a Lebanese village, where she can sit on her swinging chair on the terrace, wearing a floral dress contentedly reading a book.
